I remember Dubrovnik, Croatia being one of my favorite places in the world. If I could go anywhere again it would be Dubrovnik. I loved the cobblestone streets, the people, the view.
I was there for only four or five days but I knew the place like the back of my hand. There were cats everywhere. It was beautiful.
I love cities that are on the ocean. All red roofs, all cobblestones, and at night it would light up and it was amazing.
The history was also significant. They had recently had a war and everywhere I looked there were signs of it. It was interesting to see how the people had recovered from that. A lot of people had started new.
I remember meeting this man who was living in Dubrovnik while the war was going on. He remembered being in his house with his sons and hearing shots around his house. He was telling his story to lots of people who came to Dubrovnik. I thought it was cool that he had the opportunity to share his experiences.

Beija,
Only young people would mention the cats. Thank you for sharing. I love the final picture. You are holding on to a guy who doesn’t look happy!
